A project managed by [[Giuseppe Bonanno]] to build a reusable, self-managed CI/CD runner for the AI Operations group. This initiative aims to eliminate dependency on shared corporate pipeline minutes.

Design

• Target: Develop a single generic runner configurable for multiple repositories, starting with AI Portal and expanding to others (e.g., the skills repo).
• Infrastructure: Currently under investigation by [[Giuseppe Bonanno]]. Options include dedicated AWS EC2 or a serverless/Fargate-style architecture.
• Project Status: Jira tasks have been consolidated into a single reusable entity to align with project goals.

Serverless Transition (2026-08-31)

Giuseppe is deploying an AWS serverless runner to replace the standard EC2 instance, aiming to avoid always-on costs for periodic (daily/weekly) deploy jobs. This migration is required to meet new mandatory IT "backstage categorization" requirements.
